03 May 2010 - The 43rd edition of Antigua Sailing Week has just drawn to a close. On the final day of racing, a the 12 mile course, DSK Pioneer Investments' win was the team's only chance to secure second place overall.

With winds out of the southeast, gusting up to 18 knots, Racing 1 got off first with RAN in control over TITAN. Then in Racing 2, it was all on the line.

DSK Pioneer Investments was second off the line, to leeward of the fleet. After no less than three minutes, the Swan 90 was clear to tack. Already at the first cross the hierarchy was defined. Required to pass Passion4c to secure second place. Optional to pass SinDuda!, who were fast on the water helped by a favourable rating.

The win begin like this, almost by chance. The performance of the Gavin Brady and the team, in line with the previous days, favourable to the Santa Cruz 52. In handicap racing, one can not be certain always relying on the computer, but the feeling is different, more convincing.

Feeling based on facts, because DSK Pioneer Investments was first. In real time and two minutes on handicap.

The icing on the cake at Antigua Sailing Week in succession. Having placed 11th in the first race, Danilo Salsi's team could not be beaten. One second place finish after another, gradually reduced the lead of the Tripp 56 Passion4c.

This wraps up the Caribbean season for the DSK Sailing Team who know return to the Med and in September will be in Porto Cervo for their two main events of the season, the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup and the Rolex Swan Cup.
